Pittman Law Office Newsflash

National Family Caregivers Month

November is National Family Caregivers Month. Voluntary caregivers or informal caregivers provide a substantial portion of in-home, long-term care for family and friends. According to the CDC, the number of people who are becoming informal caregivers is growing exponentially. The responsibility of being a caregiver can take a toll on a person’s mental and physical well being. https://www.cdc.gov/aging/caregiving/caregiver-brief.html

If you are a caregiver, do you know what will happen to your family member or friend if you pass away before them? A properly executed estate plan can help put your mind at ease, knowing that if you pass first, your loved one is still cared for.

Thank you to all the caregivers out there, whether formal or informal. You are making a real difference in someone else’s life!

Attorney Audra M. Platt recently spoke at two Estate Planning 101 Parties in the Villages of Chitty Chatty and Citrus Grove.

Estate Planning 101 Parties are great for folks who want to get a basic explanation of Estate Planning in Florida in an informal setting.

You don’t need to be an established client to host an Estate Planning 101 Party. The idea is the host would invite 10 or more of their friends and Attorney Audra M. Platt will come to the host’s home (or driveway) to discuss the basics of Estate Planning and answer any questions the guests may have about Estate Planning. Contact our Estate Planning Paralegal, amyrose@thepittmanlawoffice.com, for more information and to schedule a fun, educational event at your home.
