Sydney M. Simmons has been practicing as an attorney in Florida since 2020, and is proud to serve clients in her hometown. Sydney started the practice of law in general civil litigation with a focus on estate and trust litigation. The experience Sydney gained in litigation now serves her practice that focuses on  Estate Planning (Trusts, Wills, Durable Powers of Attorney for Financial and Health Care Surrogates). It is Sydney’s goal for her clients to feel comfortable knowing their affairs are taken care of for their loved ones, and to feel confident having Sydney prepare efficient and thorough estate plans on their behalf.

Sydney graduated from Florida State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 2017 with Magna Cum Laude honors. She then received her Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law in 2020. After law school, Sydney returned to her hometown to be close to her family and begin her law career.

Sydney is a Florida native, and was born and raised in Sumter County. Sydney lives in Oxford with her husband, Caleb, and her two children, Elle and Barrett. She feels fortunate to practice law in an area so close to her family and to serve this community. In her free time, Sydney enjoys spending time outside with her kids, reading, and baking.

Why do you like working with families in this capacity?

I love getting to know my clients, their family dynamics, and about the lives they have built for themselves that leads them to the need for our estate planning services.
