The initial estate planning consultation is complimentary. It is typically a one-hour consultation for people who have never done an estate plan or who have an existing estate plan that may need to be updated. We will send the Potential Client an email with confirmation of consultation date and time along with an Intake Form that we need the Potential Client to fill out to the best of their ability prior to the consultation with one of our attorneys.
It is imperative that the attorneys have the information that is being requested to provide a proper Estate Plan recommendation. We understand that the Potential Client may not have all of the answers or may not have made all of the decisions needed to complete the intake form but coming to the consultation without considering the information requested is not going to allow the attorneys to provide a recommendation. We also understand that some people are scheduling a consultation that already have estate planning documents, we still need the intake form filled out. The attorneys do not have the time to review a potential client’s existing documents as well as discuss the potential client’s current situation and needs within a one-hour consultation.
If the Potential Client doesn’t understand the need for filling out the intake form then we recommend they attend one of our monthly Estate Planning workshops at our office or request that they view our YouTube channel to watch videos on Estate Planning to see if Pittman Law is a good fit before scheduling the consultation.
If the Potential Client refuses to fill out the intake form then Pittman Law is not a good fit and we will recommend they find a different law firm to handle their estate planning needs as our attorneys need to be meeting with Potential Clients that meet Pittman Law’s Ideal Client profile. We understand we are not the right fit for all.
