Pittman Law Office Newsflash

Are your financial assets titled succinctly with your estate plan?

It is important to understand how you title your assets as well as who you name as beneficiaries on assets, as this will determine how your financial assets are distributed upon your death.

The type of estate plan you have will determine how your assets should be titled. If you have a Will based estate plan, then we are focused on beneficiary designations. However, if you have a Revocable Trust based estate plan, we are typically focused on who owns the assets. Such as the importance of titling assets in the name of the Trust. Joint Trusts versus Individual Trusts can also determine how we recommend you title your assets.

If you are a current client of Pittman Law Office and you aren’t sure if your assets are titled correctly, consider attending our Coffee with Counsel on March 10, 2021 with Attorney Audra M. Platt. See details below.

If you aren’t able to attend our Coffee with Counsel, we provide other options to ensure that you have the information you need to fulfill your estate plan. See details below.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please call the office at (352) 399-6944.

Please let us know if you have moved or changed your email address. We want to make sure we have current contact information.

Do You Want To Host a Mortality Party?

Mortality Party (informal discussion on Estate Planning)

If you are interested in hosting a mortality party please let us know. The idea is the host would invite 6-8 of their friends and Attorney, Audra M. Platt will come to the host’s home (or driveway so we can social distance) to discuss Estate Planning and answer any questions the guests may have about estate planning. I’ll bring the pizza and beer. Contact our estate planning paralegal, katherine@thepittmanlawoffice.com, for more information and to schedule a fun, educational event at your home.
