Cheers to 2025: A Perfect Time for Reflection and Planning
Happy New Year! As we step into 2025, we at Pittman Law Office want to thank you for trusting us with your estate planning needs. We wish you a year filled with joy, health, and prosperity.
The New Year is not just a time for resolutions—it’s also an excellent opportunity to ensure your estate plan reflects your current goals and wishes. If you don’t have an estate plan yet, now is the perfect time to take this important step toward protecting your loved ones and your legacy.
Whether you need to establish your estate plan or review an existing one, we recommend focusing on:
- Beneficiary designations on accounts and insurance policies
- Trust funding and asset alignment, and
- Healthcare and financial administrators
Having a clear and updated estate plan offers peace of mind and ensures your loved ones are cared for.
If you’re ready to get started or make updates, we’re here to help. Let’s begin 2025 with confidence, knowing your plans are in place. Contact our office at 352-399-6944 if you would like to schedule a consultation.

Probate Corner…
What is probate?
Probate is a court process used to identify, gather and distribute a deceased person’s probate assets. Not all assets are probate assets, there are multiple ways to keep assets out of probate. Yes, there are horror stories with probate but in reality not all probate cases are terrible. If you would like to learn more about probate, check out our YouTube Channel.
My Neighbor Said…
My neighbor said I can update my estate plan by crossing a sentence out and signing in the margin. Please don’t listen to that neighbor about estate planning. This is not the case in Florida. A Will and a Trust must be signed with the proper prerequisites required by Florida Law. If your documents are not signed with the proper formalities, your document can be considered invalid. Talk to a professional to ensure that your plans are legally binding.
