Spread Holiday Cheer by Sharing Your Peace of Mind For the folks who have completed…
We hope you all had a good Christmas and are ready to ring in the new year. We are excited about the new year and all the new opportunities. One of our goals at Pittman Law Office is to provide easy to understand Estate Planning information. Be sure to check out our YouTube channel here .
The start of a new year is a great time to reflect on where you have been and set goals to ensure that you get to where you want to go.
We believe that one of those goals should be review or re-evaluate your estate plan:
- Is it from another state?
- Is it up to date to your wishes?
- Do you need to start fresh?
- Have you had a major life change?
- Do you need to create an estate plan?
Creating an estate plan and ensuring that it reflects your wishes can:
- decrease family discord,
- ensure that your assets are distributed how and to whom you want,
- avoid probate and unnecessary costs,
- reduce estate taxes, and
- provide peace of mind for you and your loved ones.
The new year is all about new beginnings. If you are not a PLO client yet, you can take steps today to make sure your estate plan is in place by calling to schedule an appointment with one of our attorneys.
New Team Member Pittman Law Office is excited to announce that we have a new Team Member! Felicia Stone is a native Floridian, raised right here in Sumter County. Felicia is detail oriented and very helpful when you call Pittman Law Office. |

My Neighbor Said…
My neighbor said if I create a Trust, I will need to ask my beneficiaries for permission if I want to sell my house. This is not the case with the type of Trusts that we create at Pittman Law Office. The type of trusts that we create have the Client named as the Trustee and Settlor of the Trust, therefore the Client is in control of all assets until the client relinquishes the power, is incapacitated, or passes away.
If you are a Client of PLO, please contact us if you are receiving advice or suggestions concerning your Estate Plan before acting on the advice. Both Amy and Audra are responsive to emails from clients. amy@thepittmanlawoffice.com and audra@thepittmanlawoffice.com
